Frequently Asked Questions
Who HedgeHammer Is For
HedgeHammer is built for independent investors who want to understand what stocks are worth — not simply what they are trading at. It is designed for research-driven investors who make their own decisions and want a deeper quantitative foundation for those decisions. HedgeHammer brings computational valuation, systematic rankings, market analysis, portfolio diagnostics, and risk analysis into one platform, helping investors identify potential mispricing, investigate the underlying signals, and build conviction around their ideas.
Most investment platforms help you find information, analyse charts, and monitor portfolios. HedgeHammer goes a step further: it attempts to determine what an asset is worth and where the market price may disagree with that value. Its proprietary computational valuation engine continuously analyses 30,000+ stocks and 10,000+ ETFs across global markets, combining valuation, statistical analysis, market dynamics, and systematic rankings. The result is not simply more market data, but an independent quantitative view of where opportunities and risks may lie.
Product Core Technology
HedgeHammer covers 30,000+ stocks and 10,000+ ETFs across more than 120 global exchanges, priced in all major world currencies.
Computational valuation is HedgeHammer's proprietary approach to estimating what an asset is worth from its underlying financial and market data. Rather than relying on a single traditional valuation formula such as DCF or Graham–Dodd, the Matrix Engine combines multiple valuation dimensions and statistical techniques to derive an adaptive estimate of fair value. The goal is simple: identify where the market price and estimated value meaningfully disagree. Fun fact: we also worked on the rendering engine behind the original Matrix Trilogy.
HedgeHammer's Market Intelligence analyses market behaviour as an evolving system rather than looking at individual securities in isolation. It uses statistical models to identify recurring market regimes. The result is a quantitative view of the market's current phase — helping investors understand whether conditions are behaving more like a trending, reverting, volatile, or otherwise distinct regime, and how that regime may affect the signals generated by the system. Market Intelligence is not a prediction of what the market will do next. It is a statistical framework for understanding the market environment in which investment decisions are being made.
HedgeHammer treats financial markets as complex, evolving systems rather than collections of isolated stocks. Its Matrix Engine continuously analyses relationships between valuation, fundamentals, prices, market behaviour, and statistical signals using mathematical models, numerical optimisation, and iterative computation to solve non-linear equations. The system performs hundreds of thousands of calculations per asset every day across 40,000+ securities and 120+ markets, applying the same quantitative framework consistently at a scale impossible to reproduce manually.
HedgeHammer is fundamentally a quantitative system, not a generative AI system. The Matrix Engine uses mathematical modelling, statistical analysis, numerical methods, and market-data analysis to derive its signals. Some of the techniques used in quantitative finance overlap with methods used in machine learning, but HedgeHammer does not use an LLM to generate its valuations or rankings. Its core signals are derived computationally from financial and market data and are designed to be reproducible and measurable.
HedgeHammer MCP connects any MCP-compatible AI assistant directly to HedgeHammer's live market data, valuations, and rankings. You can screen stocks, analyse portfolios, run factor analysis, and explore valuation questions through natural conversation — your AI assistant retrieves the data in real time via the Model Context Protocol (MCP). No browser switching required. HedgeHammer MCP is available as a standalone plan and can be combined independently with the Web App.
Valuation data is refreshed daily using the latest available financial and market information. Price data is updated continuously throughout the trading day, providing the most current market view available to HedgeHammer.
Some assets cannot be valued reliably — for example, newly listed firms, companies nearing bankruptcy, or those with incomplete or inconsistent data. In these cases, HedgeHammer withholds a fair value rather than provide a potentially misleading estimate.
Methodology & Accuracy
HedgeHammer's fair value estimates are generated from quantitative models and extensive historical analysis. They are designed to provide a rigorous starting point for research — not to predict the future with certainty. Markets can be affected by events and information that no quantitative model can fully capture, including management changes, litigation, regulation, technological disruption, and unexpected macroeconomic events. HedgeHammer provides the quantitative framework; the investment decision remains yours.
Our visualisation approach was inspired by Peter Lynch's hand-drawn charts in One Up on Wall Street, and we've dramatically evolved the concept. While Lynch manually sketched price-to-value relationships, we employ advanced algorithms to calculate and display these relationships in real-time, providing deeper insights across multiple timeframes and metrics.
We source market and fundamental data from Interactive Brokers, FinancialModelingPrep, stock exchanges, and official company filings. These inputs are processed through HedgeHammer's proprietary quantitative models and statistical methods to generate valuation estimates, rankings, and other analytical signals. The result combines curated third-party data with HedgeHammer-generated analysis.
These are valuation multiples used to compare a company's market price with different measures of its financial performance. P/E is Price-to-Earnings, P/O is Price-to-Operating Cash Flow, P/R is Price-to-Revenue, P/B is Price-to-Book Value, P/F is Price-to-Free Cash Flow, and P/D is Price-to-Dividend. HedgeHammer incorporates these and other financial measures into its own valuation framework. Because we process and combine the underlying data differently, HedgeHammer's calculated values may differ from those shown on other platforms.
We estimate corporate credit risk using a KMV-style structural model derived from Merton's option-theoretic framework (1974). The approach uses market-implied asset value, asset volatility, and a balance-sheet-based default point to compute Distance-to-Default. Credit risk labels are model-derived signals and are not agency credit ratings.
These three labels appear on the right-hand Y-axis of the stock chart and represent three distinct forward-looking signals. FP (Fair Price) is today's estimated fair value based on HedgeHammer's quantitative valuation model. FFV (Future Fair Value) is where our model projects that fair value will be in the future, derived from analyst earnings and revenue estimates. FM (Forecast Median) is the median outcome of a Monte Carlo price simulation: we run thousands of simulated price paths based on historical price dynamics and show the midpoint where half the paths end above and half below. FP and FFV are fundamentals-driven; FM is market-dynamics-driven. When FM and FFV diverge significantly, it signals a tension between where price dynamics point and where fundamentals suggest the stock should trade.
Technical Background
More than you might expect. Our team comes from two worlds: high-end computer graphics pipelines and traditional institutional finance — including careers at JPMorgan, UBS, and Citi. The mathematical techniques used in graphics and simulation — including Monte Carlo methods, Markov chains, time-series analysis, and numerical simulation — also have powerful applications in financial modelling. We apply the same computational discipline to financial markets, building systems that can analyse complex relationships between market prices and underlying value at a scale that would be difficult to reproduce manually.
Pricing, Terms & Conditions

About HedgeHammer
HedgeHammer brings together two powerful ideas: "Hedge" for protection and risk management, and "Hammer" for decisive, precise action. Like Thor's Mjolnir, it's a tool of power — turning data into confident, actionable investment decisions (fun fact: our tech was also used in Thor: Love & Thunder). The name reflects our mission: helping investors act with clarity, precision, and protection.
KOZUCI, Inc. is a team of investors and software engineers with decades of experience spanning quantitative finance, software engineering, and computer graphics. We've been investing in the stock market since 1994 and developed proprietary quantitative valuation systems long before generative AI became mainstream. We built HedgeHammer because we wanted a tool that could answer a simple question more rigorously: where does the market price disagree with value? We use our own valuation logic to analyse markets and manage both our company and personal investment portfolios.
Our logo is inspired by the works of Piet Mondrian. Just as he rendered the chaos of nature into clear, essential forms, our valuation engine distills vast financial datasets into a clear picture.
